| About Me | I moved with my family the day after my high school graduation to San Jose, CA., attended San Jose State and joined a sorority. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Parks, Recreation and Community Services. I had a wonderful 31 year career working in municipal government creating and implementing public recreation programs, parks, ball fields, trail systems and programming for all age groups in leisure services programs. I served as Director in two newly incorporated cities and it was exciting to create from “scratch” the public services programs along with my colleagues. I took early retirement and then had my own business in grant writing and administration working for various municipal government agencies and Native American tribes for ten years. I am now happily retired. I was married for 26 years until my husband passed away in 2014. I decided to leave CA in 2020 and moved to Texas just outside of Austin.
