Served as electronics technician on USS Cadmus AR-14 out of Newport, RI, as nuclear reactor operator on USS Barb SS-596 out of Pearl Harbor, and as Radcon supervisor on USS Proteus (AS19) out of Guam, Spent three more years in Army reserves and 14 years in Coast Guard Reserves-Retired as Lieutenant in 1994.
