Retired in 1987 after 25 years with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant(E-8). Spent last 7 active duty years as a First Sergeant assigned to a covert operation out of Las Vegas, Nevada. I had 17 assignments in the 25 years. Saw a lot of the world.

LIEUTENANT COLONEL SIBARIA TAYLOR
Lieutenant Colonel Sibaria Taylor, born and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky, enlisted in the Army Reserve in the summer of 2001. Three years later, she commissioned into the Adjutant General Corps through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program, while earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast News from Western Kentucky University.
Lt. Col. Taylor is currently serving as the Deputy, National Outreach with Strategic Communications, United States Army Reserve (USAR).
Prior to this assignment, Lt. Col. Taylor’s assignments include Battalion Operations Officer for the 318th Theater Public Affairs Support Element, Chicago Metropolitan area, Illinois; Secretary to the General Staff for the 377th Theater Sustainment Command (TSC), New Orleans, Louisiana; Deputy Assistance Chief of Staff G1 for 377th TSC; Public Affairs Chief, Southeast Medical Area Readiness Support Group (SEMARSG), Nashville, Tenn.; Public Affairs Officer, 9th Mission Support Command, Honolulu, Hawaii; Public Affairs Officer, USAR Readiness Command, Fort Jackson, S.C.; officer in charge G3/Directorate of Plans, Trainings, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS), Fort Jackson, S.C.; interim Company Commander and Executive Officer, Task Force Marshall, Camp McGrady, S.C.; Company Executive Officer, 398th Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 100th Division, Owensboro, Ky.; As part of a deployable command post, Lt. Col. Taylor trained overseas in support of Cuba Integrative Advance; she is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and Noble Eagle. In her civilian capacity, Sibaria worked as an emergency department Registered Nurse in Nashville, Tenn. before joining the Active Guard Reserve program.
Lt. Col. Taylor has a Master of Business Administration degree with a Project and Operations Management concentration from the American Business &Technology University, where she earned the President’s Award for her 4.0 grade point average. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast News from Western Kentucky University, where she also earned a degree in Nursing. She is a graduate of the Adjutant General Officer Basic Course, (Distinguished Honor Graduate) Adjutant General’s Corps Captain Career Course, Public Affairs Officer Qualification Course, and Command and General Staff College. She also has completed the Joint Contingency Public Affairs Course at the Defense Information School (DINFOS), Fort Meade, Maryland.
Lt. Col. Taylor’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with one Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal two Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal two Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War of Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with a silver hour glass and “M” Device, Army Service Ribbon, and Army Reserve Components Overseas Training. She is a recipient of the WFIE Channel 14 Excellence in Journalism Award, LTC Wetzel “Scoop” Brumsfield Excellence in Journalism Award, and President Benjamin Harrison Medal.
She is married to James, a retired Chief Warrant Officer and pilot.
