About Me	US Army, medically retired, 100% permanent & total disability due to military service; airborne infantry, Ranger, Special Forces. Spent a few years in the Presidential Honor Guard as White House Escort, Presidential Color Sergeant, and as a Sentinel / Asst Relief Commander at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. One-year stint on the US Army Parachute Team, the Golden Knights. Served several places in various units overseas in Central America, Europe, Africa, and the Mideast. Later worked as a civilian with Dept of the Army, Dept of Defense (Defense Intelligence Agency,) and Dept of State (Diplomatic Security Service.) Graduate School; 2 Bachelors Degrees, teaching at University level; writing and research, 3 marriages and divorces; 3 children - each approx 15 years apart ... dealing with severe, constant, chronic pain and physical limitations due to my crazy, wild, and misspent youth .... far too much time nowadays in hospitals and physical therapy.... living all over the world ... seeing the sun rise over Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and the full moon come up over the Indian Ocean on the beaches in Kenya and take up half the sky ... summertime sunset over the harbor of Oban, Scotland ... sunset over the Pyramids ... pate foie gras and ice-cold Sauterne on the veranda of a villa in the Dordogne region; boat trip down the Rhine in Germany... canoeing the Perigord River in Southern France; kissing a beautiful French girl under the Eiffel Tower; parachuting into Wrigley Field in Chicago in a snowstorm (what a RUSH!) getting teargassed at the White House in 1978 when the Shah of Iran came the final time before they threw him out; speaking 5 or 6 languages; having lived and experienced enough to fill ten lifetimes ... and as the song says I've learned that 'God i...(read more)
