About Me	Proverbs 3:7-8 Don't be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn your back on evil. Then you will gain renewed health and vitality. I served as a full time ordained minister for 25+ years. I love God and my family. I attended Colonial Baptist Kindergarten, Willow Oaks Elementary, Colonial Jr. High and Overton High School. In high school I ran track and cross country. I also was the basketball stat guy. After high school I went to University of Tennessee at Martin. There I was the campus DJ and was a member of Alpha Phi Omega. We hosted and participated in the Walk to St. Jude each year. We walked from Martin to Memphis in order to raise money for St. Jude. I also met my wife to be at UT Martin with a connection through Young LIfe Campaigners from the summer of '71. She went to Hillcrest and was a cheerleader, Frances Ann Brown Fortner. We have been married for 37 years and have three daughters, Jennifer, Leigh Ann, and Anna and a beautiful new grand-daughter Noelle Marie Steele, who was just 3, April 13 (Frank and Leigh Ann). Noelle also had a little brother, on April 1st, 2010, named Anderson Davis Steele. We are so PROUD! We then transfered to Memphis State University. I got my Associate's degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. My first church staff position was organist with Southern Ave Baptist Church/Ridgeway Baptist in 1972-1974. I then served as youth minister at Richland Baptist Church. From there I became the Associate Outreach Minister at Central Church. After ten years there God led me to further my education at Mid-America Seminary in Memphis and I finished at Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. I served at Fielder Road Baptist Church, Arlington,TX in 1984 with the Youth department. I then went to Prestonwood Baptist Church from 1984-1989. Here I worked in the TV production department of the church, DBN, Discovery Broadcasting Network. They developed and produced projects for 200+ churches in the country. After Prestonwood God lead me and my family to Germantown Baptist Church in Germantown, TN, 1989-1993. I was ordained as a minister at Germantown and served as a deacon over the years we have been there. I was the Minister to Single Adults. After 4+ years I was lead to Birmingham, AL to Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. We were there from 1993-1996. I was the Minister to Single Adults there as well. In 1996 I left Dawson and went to work for the family business, Fortner Masonry from 1996-2003. From 2005-2006 I worked for Olford Ministries as the Minister of Media. I have been a City of Collierville Police Chaplain and from 2004- 2007 I have worked in the ROC of Germantown Baptist Church. I currently umpire ASA Softball and TSSAA Softball and loving all of it. I am currently seeking a new position in ministry/ and/ or missions ministy locally as well as pursuing my officiating Girls and Women's Softball . I have recently taken a job offer with Fedex Express. Yes, tossing your packages "The Right Way" and getting them to you "On-Time".
