Van E. Gaines was born on November 13, 1949 and passed away on January 7, 2015 in Cordova, TN (US) and is under the care of Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
Van served in the Marines 1968-1974. He was a Sgt with the 3rdd Recon battalion - Force Recon. Two and a half tours in Viet Nam, medic vac'd out with critical injuries. He died from cancer and will be missed by several of his Marine brothers. A true leader and hero.
