Bob Lumm and I were in the same kindergarten class. A bunch of us were at his birthday party at the Todedo club. They had an indoor pool. The shallow end was still too deep for us so they put in a large trampoline, sunk in the shallow end in the corner. I was standing on the outside edge of this trampoline and accidentally stepped off in was in water over my head. I could not swim and I was under water splashing my arms. A second later Betty Camphor grabbed my arm and pulled me up. She was lounging in an inner tube and just happened to be at the right spot at the right time. I think she saved my life !!!
RIP Bob. I look forward to seeing when I get up there.
