Donations for the funeral services of Darren L. Green age 44, who attended Ottawa High School

I am trying to obtain donations for the funeral services of Darren L. Green, age 44 who attended Ottawa High School. His family does not have the funds for his funeral proceedings. Is it possible to make an announcement to any members of the faculty of former classmates:
