About Me	After a short tiime in college, I went back to Oscoda and learned how to weld. Worked at a small factory there in AuSable and became friends with Warren Stevenâ€™s who also worked there. Warren and I then took off to Flint. I got a job at Buick, all the time thinking I was going to save money for college. I hadnâ€™t been there long when I was drafted into the Army. I spent the next two years in El Paso, TX at Ft. Bliss. While attending a local church there, I met my wife Linda. We were married shortly after I was discharged and settled in Flint where I went back to Buick. I used my GI Bill to learn to fly and became a Flight Instructor for the Flint Police Flying Club. My goal was to eventually get into the airlines. However, the war ended and the airlines were swamped with highly qualified pilots. I didnâ€™t stand a chance. It was then I started learning insurance. I eventually left Buick and became an insurance agent. Then, in 1975, I sold my agency and went to work for an insurance company in Salem, NJ. I eventually became a Vice President in the company and worked there 13 years. After that, I took a job as Vice President with a company in Jacksonville, FL. After 10 years there they sold out and I found myself briefly in Elba, AL. Then I got the opportunity to go with a company in Harrisonburg, VA.
