About	A Mikado man died as the result of an accident Tuesday. Gregory Fraser, 45, died when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by an automobile. Deputies of the Alcona County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a car/motorcycle accident on F-41 N/O Goddard in Mikado Township. A preliminary investigation reveals that a vehicle driven by a Tommy Lauwers, 18, of Oscoda, was nortbound on F-41. Lauwers vehicle went into the southb ound lane of F-41 in an attempt to pass another northbound vehicle. It was at that time Lauwers vehicle collided with the southbound Motorcycle being driven by Fraser. When deputies arrived they were advised that a passenger in Lauwers vehicle had left walking north on F-41. Deputies secured the scene while EMS personnel and first responders tended to the injured. An area search was conducted and the passenger, Robert Cooper, 37, of Mikado was located. Fraser was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Lauwers was transported to Tawas St. Joseph Hospital by Alcona EMS. Cooper refused to go to the hospital and sought his own treatment. This incident remains under investigation at this time by the Alcona Sheriff's Office and the Michigan State Police.
