About Me	After graduating from Osceola High School, entered Florida Institute of Technology [ Melbourne] in September 1963 going for a degree in Electrical Engineering. Met my future wife Jackie in 1965 and we were married in 1967. While attending college and post college, worked as an Architectural Draftsmen, designing homes in Cocoa Beach. Jackie and I moved to Vero Beach, Florida and Started my professional career in the newspaper business in 1969. Worked 10 years for the Miami Herald in various management positions, recruited by the Chicago Sun Times in 1979 and was the Marketing Manager for the Circulation Department. Was recruited by USA TODAY in 1982 to become part of the Startup Launch Team for USA TODAY. Was one of the Managers that setup and launched the Chicago Region. Promoted to Regional General of the Dallas Region in the fall of 1983. Transfered to Nashville, Tennessee, setup and launched the Tennessee Region and was the Regional General Manager of the Tennessee Region from 1985 to 1991. I was made a USA TODAY FOUNDING MEMBER by Al Neuharth in 1986 as part of the original USA TODAY launch Team. Promoted to President and Publisher of The Times in Shreveport, Louisana [Gannett] in 1992. Retired from the newspaper business in 1999 and Jackie and I then moved to Florida. Jackie and I had two daughters, our youngest passed away in 2009. We have 3 grand children living in Tennessee. Currently we spend our time at home in Florida . Jackie an...(read more)
