| About Me | Raised in the Lakewood Heights area of Atlanta, Attended Lakewood elementary school and one year at Fulton High in Atlanta before moving to SW Cobb County GA in 1948 at age 14. Attended Mableton High School in 1948 and Osborne High School in 49-52 then transferred back to Mableton High and graduated in 1952. 1953 joined USMC and served as an aircraft engine mechanic at MCAS in Miami FL, Became an aerial navigator on the old "Flying Boxcar" based in MCAS Cherry Point NC, Searved in Port Lyota French Morocco in 1956-57 supplying the US 6th Fleet in the Med.
