OHS Patio Project

The project began with the OHS Class of 1975's upcoming 40th Reunion. While searching for a location to place their memorial bench, the committee stumbled upon granite pieces from the old Ortonville High School front entrance steps. After visiting with the Big Stone County Museum Board members, a plan is now in motion and we are looking for your help.

The old high school steps are being made into two picnic tables with seats on two sides. The OHS Class of '75 will be donating the cost to convert the steps into the picnic tables and the placement of, on the museum grounds.

However, monies are needed to help with the completion of this project. Along with the picnic tables, is the construction of a patio where the picnic tables will set, surrounded by grass, scrubs, plants and edging. The location is near the front door entrance to the Big Stone County Museum building. The musuem is located at the intersection of US Hwy 12 and US Hwy 75 in Ortonville. The dedication of this will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 5pm, at the museum.
