About Me	Tried my hand at teaching music for 3 years but that was not something I wanted to do the rest of my life. Started working as a church secretary and that lasted for 20 years serving Lutheran Churches in Davenport, Geneseo and Springfield Illinois. I have sung and played for countless weddings and funerals throughout the area. In 2004 I had a stroke which put me on the disabled list and in October of 2006 I had a below-the-knee amputation as a result of a disease called Charcot foot. But that has not stopped me. After 3 1/2 years of not driving a car, in May of 2009 I was finally able to purchase hand controls so can drive short distances (loss of peripheral vision prevents long distance driving). I continue to sing my praise to God because He is the one who brought me through all that I have gone through. The love of family also has given me strength beyond belief. God...(read more)
