Class of 2008
Accomplishing alot after graduating in 2008 I played football for one year at Highland CC. Afterwards I continued my education at Washburn University where I met my future wife Kyla King. I was working as a bouncer at a sports bar in Topeka when I would meet a soon to be teammate. He told me he played semi-pro football in Kansas City and invited me for try-outs. I amazingly made the team cuz of my size, speed and ability. I played Linebacker and Defensive End. My season ran short due to life being unfair. Soon after I was asked again to play football this time in a bigger league. This time through APFL (American Professional Football League)which is indoor arena. I accepted I was weighed and measured for roster and halfway through my try-outs the head coach said welcome to the league! I was on the roster as Defensive line at 6'3", 255.My first game was successful, I had 3 tackles, 1 caused fumble and fumble recovery for 8 yards. I remembered the crowd cheering loudly! It was amazing after each game the team signed autographs and get pictures with fans. To me I think it is and was a great accomplishment going that far in the sport. Comming from a small farm town to a distingued team such as that was a great feeling and memory! I would like to thank Onaga for supporting me through high school, all of my coaches for giving me my opportunity to play the sport! Thank you all again!
