Favorite School Memory	My high school experience was the original "That 70s Show". My favorite high school memory was going to breakfast with friends in my 1968 Camaro at the Stoughton Diner and arriving at school late, like 3rd period at least once a month. Oh how I loved playing "Bombardment" in gym class having weighed only 135 lbs. and getting about 30 upper classmen throw 60 soccer balls at me. I remember making minimum wage of $1.75 an hour and a movie ticket, a pizza and a haircut each cost $1.75. Gas was only 32 cents a gallon so MPG meant nothing. Good times. Good memories. I loved being with my high school friends like John Marvill, Dave Nelson, Wally Porter, Peter Freitas, Billy Parker and being on The Olivian school newspaper staff. High school is and was a state of mind. I still see life as "High School Musical 3" and "Glee". When I teach college art and pop culture, I use my high school years as my barometer. We started our high school only 2 months after our country put a man on the moon in 1969. "The Brady Bunch" was on network TV from 1969-1973 along with shows like "Room 222" and "All in the Family". We were in high school when the Beatles broke up, the Kent State massacre happened, the Watergate break in was discovered and I had to register for the draft when I wa...(read more)
About Me	Hmm...let's see...after our graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 7, 1973, I went to the Westgate Mall Cinema and saw the movie "The Way We Were" then went to Friendlys and had a Fishamajig and a Fribble. The next day I started my summer job at The Brockton Enterprise as a copy boy. Then I graduated from art school, spent 20 years at The Boston Globe, 10 years working for advertising depts. and advertising agencies as an artist....Still going strong at 55 as a d...(read more)
