William owned many businesses throughout his lifetime and was savvy enough to never have to work for anyone but himself. His passion was fishing. William was a Professional Bass Fisherman and placed in many big tournaments. William was a U.S. Army Veteran and specifically a Vietnam Veteran. He was in many ground battles and was awarded the Purple Heart medal.
