About Me | I listen to more music now than at any other time in my life. I am lucky and I know it because I get to listen to it at my desk at work. I find myself listening almost exclusively to heavy music too (not necessarily metal, but always heavy). I used to listen to more variety, but not so much anymore. I still really appreciate and enjoy other types of music beside the heavy stuff. I am not a brooding person either. In fact, I have never been happier with my life. I have mellowed out and gained more patience and perspective. I used to have a fuse a millimeter long and a charge equal that of bunker buster. I have also never been more successful professionally and personally, funny how that works out. Coincidence? I think not. People can change especially if they allow themselves to be open to learning from their life experiences, both good and bad. If you do not you could easily self-destruct…I am talking from experience. I have settled down and have a little girl too. It does not slow me down though. I still go to shows when I can, to see bands I really like. I will travel to see ‘em too. I think you probably get the point. About me? Besides all that? I like photography. I especially like outdoor scenery and concert photography. I am getting better all the time. I also really enjoy cooking. My favorite chefs are Emeril, Mario and Jasper White (chowda man). I don’t watch too much TV and do not read nearly as much as I wish I did. Discovery Channel, TLC, Food Network and the Travel Channels are best. Sitcom reruns from 4-8pm are like an addiction and have always been for me. I never seem to get into these shows when they are on prime time, but rerun ‘em and in the evenings and I am there. I would be embarrassed to mention some of the stuff I enjoy. Guilty pleasures for sure. I like Survivor and The Biggest Loser (is there a more inspirational and motivational show on network television?). Other than those two, network reality and game shows make me sick. MTV? No use for it. Fuse sucks too. I would love to watch more horror movies, but my better half does not like them one bit. Makes it hard you know? Compromise is a good thing though. It has led me to both appreciate Audrey Hepburn and Mary J. Blige and want to commit suicide by jumping off our second floor deck after watching Will Smith in “The Pursuit of Happyness” (it’s not even spelled right). Lastly, as I approach 40, I have finally decide to stop talking and start doing, starting with my desire to learn to play and instrument. My instrument of choice is the almighty, low and slow, bass. I guess that is enough. Probably more than you wanted to kn...(read more) |
