About	Our sweet baby was born on August 17, 2001, in Olathe, Kansas. From an early age, they were bright, funny, and had an extensive vocabulary. They were joyful and brought our family an incredible amount of happiness. In high school, they found the right niche, entering Olathe North’s Distinguished Scholars Program surrounded by kids who also took school seriously. At school, a great group of friends formed and have lasted until this day. Theatre became a focal point of their extracurricular activities. They performed in many stage productions and enjoyed playing various characters (both on and off the stage). This grew into an interest in languages that continued into college. At the University of Kansas, they began working toward a major in The Classics. This curriculum taught them to speak and write Ancient Greek and Turkish. Learning to translate old text into English became a hobby. Even during college, old friends remained an important part of their life. They enjoyed hanging out, role-playing games, and cooking. Two years ago, Cullen came out as transgender and took the name Diane. After years of battling depression (partially due to societal prejudice), she took her own life on February 4, 2024. She was thoughtful, intelligent, kind, and incredibly brave. She brought joy and laughter to all. Her last thoughts were of love for family and friends. The hole she leaves in our hearts is indescribable. She is survived by her parents, Dirk and Stephanie Luttrell, and siblings Olivia and Heath. Please know that she loved you all. She wants you to remember her in whatever way you see fit as most only knew her as Cullen. She will be missed.
