About Me | My name is Britteny Cuevas, a brave, independent, accomplished, inspired, southern, Native American woman, from Muskogee town, OK. I promote healthy growth and education. I received education from Oktaha and Muskogee Public Schools. Graduated With Technical Honors in 2005 with CNA Certification and other Certificates @ Indian Capitol Technology Center & Muskogee High School. Attended Bacone College studied under arts ans Science. I am the “05-08” Native American Student Association Princess of Bacone College. I received my associates in Drafting & Design with Technical Honors @ ITT-Technical Institute of Tulsa. A member of Fife Indian United Methodist Church in Muskogee. I hold my families and cultures close in efforts to be an inspiring leader and dream weaver. I am the descendant of Mary Frances Redeagle Briggs, 83 years old. May 5th 2013. She is the last surviving charter member of Fife Indian United Methodist Church; she is of Mvskoke (Creek) and Quapaw ancestry, in attendance at services and church events, who began attending in the 1950s and ’60s. She is the sister of Enos and Charley Redeagle of Pawhuska, and belated George Redeagle of Muskogee Josephine Redeagle of Texas and belated sisters Minnie Elizabeth, Grace Pittman, and Annn Luellen Redeagle of Oktaha, OK. Also the children of John Doen Redeagle of Quapaw Descent and Annie Wilson of Creek Descent. They are my family and so are various families of this earth. They are a part of me, I thank them for my guidance, yet my path is my own for “Everyone has to find the right path. You can't see it so it's hard to find. No one can show you. I Britteny Cuevas daughter of Paula Sue Briggs the daughter of Mary Frances Redeagle Briggs and Sister of Kelly and William Briggs of Muskogee, and I the Daughter of Earnest Lynn of the Cherokee Nation that comes from Parker family and part of the Panamanian Nation; Cuevas family, of South America. I am proud to serve and support my community and for now being an official member of the Creek Nation Community Center of Muskogee. Mvdo. Inspired by Idle Know More Movement 2013, I have been getting involved with my community, I've been trying to stay informed, to make my own choices, learning, growing and gathering, and help support my communities. I spend a lot of time indulged in activities, for idle hands is the devils playground. Starting from the most recent activities I am promoting local music and the Shrine Venue. Music helps heal the souls. I started a Vegetable garden April 27th for Fife Indian United Methodist Church. I spend a lot of time lost in art projects. I have volunteered to teach for a non-profit organization named Siame which promote arts and education. I will be teaching a basket weaving class at the Guthrie Greens in Tulsa soon. I attended and danced in the Azalea Festival Powwow and watched the Azalea Festival Parade. I participate in runs like Warrior Dash, Mud Run,Tatur Runs when I can, which support local charities and organizations. I am for Bikers Against Child Abuse and support Erin Law to help protect and educate children, for they are our future. All while holding a 40+hr. Job draftsman for a Drafting firm for Telecommunication Company, ClS Group. Now, on the pursuit of Project Management in Business and in efforts to start my own business in the future.
