Nicole Roth, OHS Alumni '08, and Brianna Chiarello, OHS Alumni '09, are two female entrepreneurs. In Spring of 2018 Nicole and Brianna left their full time careers to start their own business. BRIAN & NICK Private Jewelers is a concierge service specializing in engagement and bridal but also offers an e-commerce platform for fine jewelry. Brianna has been in the jewelry industry for 9+ years. After graduating OHS, Brianna worked for Pandora and quickly became the assistant manager. From their she realized her passion for jewelry and wanted to learn more about fine jewelry. She worked for a mom-and-pop jewelry store in Merrick for 3+ years learning the ins and outs of jewelry design, repair, merchandising, engagement, and everything in between. She then worked for London Jewelers and gained knowledge and experience in engagement and high end fine jewelry. She graduated with Graduated Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America in July 2017. After graduating from OHS in 2008, Nicole went to Quinnipiac University and was in an intensive 5-year MBA program, receiving her B.S. in Accounting in 2012 and her MBA in 2013. She went to work in public accounting and received her CPA license while doing so. Nicole moved from Pricewaterhouse Coopers to a large private technology company gaining private company experience. Combining Brianna's knowledge and experience in the jewelry industry with Nicole's business accumen, they formed the perfect partnership that is well-rounded and balanced.
