Leon passed at some point around December, 2016. His many friends miss his cheerful character and buoyant personality.

I have a lot of memories of Leon and every one of them is good. He was a good guitar player and our band (Mike Shoup sang, Dixie Walker was on the drums, Tom Lacaille and Leon did the guitars, and I played bass), played MiraCosta College. The above obituary is an accurate description of Leon, who could lighten up any situation.
