About Me	In these last 40 years, I have been blessed with a loving family, life-long friends, steady employment - and other than a few aches and pains this 58 year old body occasionally feels, I'm thankful for my good health. My 29 year old daughter, LaRisha, recently married and also lives here in Tucson. Words are hard to find that adequately describe how proud I am of her. LaRisha is a beautiful woman - inside and out - and my pride for her increased even more when she and Justin blessed me with my first grandchild 23 months ago - just when I was beginning to think I would be in a nursing home before I ever earned that status! Wow, what a wonderful experience grand parenting is! Maddy is the light of my life and I love spending time with her every chance I get - and I'm usually completely worn out at the end of a day of play - toddlers sure can move fast, huh? As is usually the case in life, happiness is also mixed with sadness. I lost my son, 20 years ago. I've never stopped loving Tony, nor has the feeling of my loss completely gone away. I've just learned to live with the pain day by day, month by month, and year by year until it has become a burden that I am now used to. For any of my classmates who also have survived the tragedy and heartbreak of losing a child, you know exactly what I'm talking about and my heart goes out to you. I began working for the Federal Government shortly after graduation; and after serving our Nations' Veterans at 11 different VA Medical Centers throughout the country, I retired from civil service 3 years ago.
