Gary D Clamurro
Class of 1968
Navy, 20+ Years
Gary Clamurro NHS '68 served 30 years in the active and reserve components of the US Navy retiring as a Navy Captain. He was a Supply Corps officer first on nuclear submarines and then destroyers. Clamurro served during the Vietnam conflict and was recalled from reserve status to serve one year for Desert Storm. He held a number of command positions and finished his career with eight years on NATO staffs. He is a 1968 Honors graduate of Nutley Senior High School.

Assigned to the USS SEAWOLF(SSN575) in California. Served 4 years in US Navy. Reenlisted in US Army in 1988. Assigned to Ft. Bragg, in North Carolina. Medically retired in 1990.

John L. Ogilvie
Class of 1964
Air Force, 20+ Years
Went on active duty friday the 13th, 1965, stationed in San Antonio, TX, Biloxi, MS, Limestone, ME and Ocean City, NJ as a radar repairman. Re-entered active duty sept 1978 as 1LT RN. Spent the next 18 years in Texas, Maryland, Virginia and England. Received training as a Nurse Anesthetist from the US Navy, but still in the AF, in 1981. Deployed Desert Storm 1991 to southern Turkey 3km above Iraq's northern border, transitioned to Operation Provide Comfort before deployment ended. Retired as LtCol, Chief Nurse Anesthetist, Andrews AFB, MD in 1996. An interesting life.

Ended service time as a senior Captain with many decorations and medals. Military travel afforded trips to 35 countries, including over 1-1/2 years in both Africa and Italy for the major combat actions of the time. Served from 1990-1996.
