Darcie and I met at Franklin Reformed Church, in Nutley, while in Franklin School. We became choir friends and then school friends. I was also fortunate enough to meet her sister, Donna and her brother Richard, not to mention the family of The Wedlichs (which became my second home), We girls went to camp together, talked for hours on the phone when I wasn't hanging at their home on Raymond Avenue.Our lives split off for many years but we all still had so many great memories of Cape May summers, "Gone With The Wind" and the many loves of high school girls. She was my bestie for years and now I can claim her sister, Donna, as a treasured old friend. She will be remembered for her knack to write book reports at lunch hour, term papers in a day and her incredible love of life.
