| About Me | I graduated from SDSU in 1975 and completed my teaching credential in 1976. I married my college sweetheart, Dave, and moved to Washington, D.C. in 1976. I worked for Georgetown University where my husband attended Dental School. We returned to southern California in 1980 where I continued my graduate studies and worked as a Speech/Language Pathologist. Our first child, Brenton,was born in 1982, shortly after I complete my M.A. degree. We moved to Los Angeles in 1986 where my husband enrolled in an Oral & Maxillofacial Residency Program. I continued working until our second son, Matthew, was born. He died two days after his birth due to a fatal heart defect. Our daughter, Colleen was born in 1989 shortly before my husband completed his residency. We returned to Vista, California, where we both continued to work in our respective fields. We moved to Oceanside in 1994 where we still live. I retired from the Vista Unified School District in 2004 due to a medical disability.
