Father of 4 wonderful children- (3 girls 1 boy) Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ ************************************************************Long Version:Ordained Minister, Leader, humanitarian, playwright, conference speaker and musician, Elder Calvin Byron Lamar, Sr. was born December 31,1973 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was reared by his Grandmother, Prudence Patton Moss, a founding member of the Fort Lauderdale, Church of God of Prophecy and to whom he credits for his own integrity, discipline and self-reliance. He is a strong man of faith. This speaks clearly to his high ethical standards. From a very young age, he was devoted to the gospel and very active in the Church of God of Prophecy. Under the pastorate of Bishop Leonard N. Robinson, he served as an Usher, Victory Leaders Band leader, Agape Club President, Sunday School Secretary and Assistant Superintendent , Vacation Bible School teacher, musician, and choir director, to name a few. God has blessed Elder C.B. Lamar over the years to have been a staff musician for some great ministries in the Ft. Lauderdale area, like Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, The Church of God of Prophecy, St. Luke Baptist Church, The International Prayer Village and the National Church of God. Elder Lamar is currently the Minister of Music for the New Vision Christian Fellowship where he is an active member. He is also a youth director, Sunday School Superintendent, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Computer Ministries Director, and the Chief Adjutant and Armor Bearer to his Spiritual Father, the Bishop Alfred L. Ferguson. He displays work-life balance while consistently giving back to the communities he serves. He sits on the Board of Directors of four non-profit organizations. Elder Lamar is even a leader in the Business world. He is licensed by the state of Florida to sell insurance. He has also worked for big-box retail in a management capacity. He has the ability to communicate with person’s from all walks of life while maintain a high level of respect.
