Oct 10, 1934 - Mar 31, 2026
William “Bill” Albert Raymo, 91, of Woodbridge, CT, previously Norfolk, NY, went home to be with his Lord on March 31, 2026. He was born in Raymondville, NY to Albert Nelson Raymo and Zilda Lena LaLonde on October 10, 1934.

He attended Norfolk High School, graduated in 1952 and attended BOCES Seaway Tech School in Norwood, NY. He served in the United States Army in the Signal Corps from 1954 to 1956 and worked for General Motors from 1959 to 1990 as a pipefitter. He also ran a hobby farm, raising beef cattle, sheep and boarding horses.

He enjoyed raising and spending time with his family, dancing, hunting, traveling with his wife of 54 years, playing cards (especially pinochle), going to church, quiet times with the Lord, encouraging others with his writings and helping out at his neighbor’s dairy farm. He also enjoyed bike riding well into his 80’s. He had the gift of listening and of encouragement and loved spending time with family and friends and working for and visiting the elderly. He brought his sense of humor and joy to every situation.

He was a member of the Madrid, NY American Legion Post No. 1513, the Seaway Valley Senior Citizens and New Testament Church, Massena, NY, where he enjoyed being part of the prison ministry team. He continued to bring dancing and encouragement to the Coachman Square Assisted Living Community in Woodbridge, CT, his home for the last four years.

The family wishes to extend its thanks to the Coachman Community for providing a loving, compassionate environment that allowed Dad to make new friends, go on frequent outings, play cards, listen to live music, dance, eat ice cream daily and walk the grounds daily (a mile or more!) taking in the beauty of nature that he loved so much and wrote about. The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the doctors, nurses and other staff at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT and Accent Care Hospice for their compassionate support in his final days.

He is survived by his five children, Scott (Lydia), Lisa (Paul), Paul (Fiancé Terri), Kevin (Amy), and Mike (Stacey); ten grandchildren, Tyler, Justin, Tim (Genevieve) Charlotte, Jodelle, Trevor, Hannah, Hope, Jacob and Noah, along with nieces, nephews, and countless friends. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Carole Ann (Rose), his son Daniel, his daughter-in-law Brenda (LaShomb) along with his parents, a brother Donald, and his two sisters Ann Pelkey (Vern) and Rita Talcott (Gould).
