Obituary of Danny T. "Moo" LeaShomb
Norwood - Calling hours for Danny T. LeaShomb Sr., 63, a resident of 19 Cottage Street, Norwood, will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. Prayers will be offered at the conclusion of calling hours by Pastor . A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Church of the Nazarene in Potsdam on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11 a.m. Danny passed away Thursday afternoon at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
Danny is survived by his children Danny Jr. and Angel LeaShomb, Norfolk; Meagan and Jason Holmes, Winthrop; Matthew St.Pier, Norwood; Sandra St.Pier, Norwood and Joanna St.Pier, Massena; his seven beloved grandchildren, Noah Holmes, Abigail Holmes, Indi LeaShomb, Christopher and Kali St.Pier, Nathan Daniel Charles Triplett, Hunter Cabaniss and Hayden Cheslesy; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Larry and Vickie LeaShomb, Norwood and Steve and Annette LeaShomb, North Carolina; a sister, Laura and Jim Andre, Potsdam as well as several nieces and nephews. Danny was pre-deceased by his parents and his wife, Jacqueline "Jackie" LeaShomb, who passed away just six months ago.
Born in Potsdam, NY on September 11, 1961 to the late Lawrence and Pearl Deon LeaShomb and graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School, Class of 1979. He married Jacqueline Sheridan St.Pier on September 24, 1983. Danny worked as a groundskeeper for SUNY Potsdam for several years where he retired from. Previously, Danny worked for the Village of Norwood DPW. He was a communicant of the New Life Christian Fellowship Church in Norfolk and in his spare time, Danny was a volunteer for the Potsdam Rescue Squad and was active in the church. He was an avid NY Yankees fan and enjoyed hunting. Most of all, Danny and Jackie loved spending time with family and friends and their home was open to all, in good times as well as bad. Memorial donations in Danny's memory can be made to the Potsdam Rescue Squad and memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
