About	per Obit: MASSENA - Mr. John R. Bullock, 53, of 25 McCluskey Ave, died Sunday (March 23, 2008) afternoon at Massena Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since March 14th. He was born April 14, 1954 in Potsdam, the son of Harry J. Jr. and Jane LaDue Bullock. He graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School in 1972 and attended BOCES for welding. He entered the US Navy on June 29, 1972 and served until his discharge on April 3, 1974. He married Cheryl Ward on August 19, 2000 at the Bethel Assembly of God with Rev. Douglas R. Shear, officiating. He was currently employed with Alcoa East, formerly Reynold's Metals, in the anode department where he had been for 33 years. He was known to many as "Mute" or "Rip". He enjoyed woodworking, working with his computer, and when he was younger, he enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; 5 children, Tracy Arcett and her husband, George, Massena; Desra Luce, Massena; Robert Bullock and his wife, Marybeth, Massena; Jason Ward and his companion, Jessica Woodard, Massena; Dale Ward, Savannah, Georgia; 10 grandchildren; his mother and stepfather, Jane and Howard Bentley, Zephyrhills, FL; 2 sisters, Diane Bouchey and her fiancé, Don Sheppard, Norfolk; Sue Debuque and her husband, Ron, St. Regis, Falls; 2 brothers, Gary W. Bullock and his wife, Beth, Norfolk; Kenneth R. Bullock and his wife, Sherry, Zephyrhills, FL; a step brother, Mark Bentley, Las Vegas, Nevada; a step sister, Debbie Bently, Orland, California; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father on December 6, 1997; his son, Jeffrey J. Bullock on July 4, 2001; 3 grandchildren, Joshua Secore in 1995, Cameron R. Bullock on June 11, 2001, and Mya Lynn Ward on Auguest 12, 2006. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 AM with Pastor Timothy Montgomery, officiating. Burial will be later in the spring at Bixby Cemetery, Norfolk.
