NORWOOD - Funeral services for James H. Fullerton, 91, a resident of 29 River Street, Norwood, will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 12 noon at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Jane Peacock presiding. Burial with military honors will be held in the Riverside Cemetery following the services. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 12 noon. Mr. Fullerton passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at his home with family at his side.
James is survived by a son, Jeffrey and Sherry Fullerton, Norwood; his two daughters, Jill Mittelstaedt, Norwood and Misty Lee and Brad Grant, Canton and his beloved six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Jim was pre-deceased by his parents, his wife Karen in 1990, a son Craig, his grandson Craig Fullerton II and his brother, Wallace Jr.
Born in Potsdam, NY on February 19, 1934 to the late Wallace and Mildred Shatraw Fullerton, James graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School and entered the U.S. Navy, serving from 1952-1956. He married the late Karen St.Germain on July 10, 1956. Karen tragically passed away in a fire on October 18, 1990. Jim worked for UPS in Potsdam for 33 years and also helped his wife with running the Norwood Agency Boys Home until the tragic fire. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed bowling, gambling, traveling, spending time outdoors and hunting. Jim also took great pride in his garden and enjoyed spending time with his family. Memorial donations in Jim's memory can be made to the Norwood American Legion, Hospice and Palliative Care or to the Potsdam Humane Society and memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
