Michael Bernard LaHair Obituary
Michael Bernard LaHair, 63, died Saturday, August 18, 2012. Services will be private. Mr. LaHair, a native of Norwood, NY, was a graduate of Norwood-Norfolk High School. He attended Northwood University where he received a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. For 29 years he served in the United States Coast Guard, where he worked in aviation, retiring in 1997. He had made his home in Greenville since 1998 and was employed with DRS Technologies for 12 years as a technical writer. He is survived by his: wife of 44 years, Gwen Marie Avadikian LaHair; daughter, Michelle Marie LaHair, of Greenville; son, Brent Michael LaHair and wife, Cheryl; granddaughters, Naia Lillian and Kinley Marie LaHair, all of New Port Richey, FL; and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Wilson and husband, Robert, of Norwood, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the ECU Medical & Health Sciences Foundation, 525 Moye Blvd., Greenville, NC 27834. Please designate 'Cancer Center Research Fund' in the memo of the check.
