About RAYMONDVILLE, New York (WWNY) - Antonio “Tony” Germano, Jr., 91, of Marsh Road, peacefully passed away early Thursday morning, October 26, 2023 at his home.

Tony was born in Raymondville on March 11, 1932, the son of the late Antonio and Anna (Trimboli) Germano. He attended school in Raymondville and graduated from Norfolk-Norfolk Central School. He entered the United States Marine Corps on July 29, 1952, serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on July 23, 1955. On April 10, 1982, he married Nancy Hazelton in Norfolk with Justice Myers, officiating. He had been previously married and was blessed with 8 children from those marriages.

Tony was a cable technician for New York Telephone retiring after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Norfolk American Legion, an avid NY Yankees fan, enjoyed doing all kinds of woodworking, golfing, and spending time with his children.

Tony is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, Toni Lee Groff of Orswigburg, PA, Antonio Germano, III of Waddington, Deborah Germano of Alaska, Samuel Germano of Vancouver, WA, Joyce Germano of Hermitage, TN, James Germano, Virginia Germano, and Brenda Jones, all of Murfreesboro, TN, and Jonathan Germano of Purcellville, VA; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Dominic, Sam, and Ross Germano; and his sisters, Rose Love and Catherine “Katie” Zych.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, however at his request there are no services. Burial will he held at the convenience of the family in Louisville Community Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
