About | NORFOLK -- A Mass of Christian Burial for Kenneth J. "Peaches" Plumb Sr., a longtime resident of Norfolk, will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Rev. Raymond Moreau presiding. Burial will be held in the Brookdale Cemetery following the services. Mr. Plumb passed away on Saturday morning, May 17, 2025 at the home of his daughter in Gansevoort, NY, with family at his side. Kenneth is survived by his wife Nancy, two children, Kenneth "Juddy" Plumb and his companion Emily Bristol, Norwood; Kim Bren and her companion Norm Haner, Gansevoort, NY; his step-children, Gordon and Meghan Fetterly, Shelly Fetterly, Les Fetterly, Russell and Mary Stickney; Mary Ann McGreevy; Monica Brothers; his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Lois Beaudette, Canton as well as his extended family members. Kenneth was born in Ogdensburg, NY on September 9, 1941 to the late Leonard J. Plumb and Hilda Bond Plumb, Kenneth graduated from Norwood Norfolk High School, Class of 1959. A marriage to Marilyn Bushey later ended in divorce, Kenneth later married Venita Appleman Stickney on September 21, 1984. Venita passed away on January 2, 2004. On August 5, 2006, Kenneth married Nancy Giovannone Fetterly. Kenneth worked as a pipefitter and general mechanic at ALCOA in Massena for 30 years, retiring in 1997. Not wanting to stay idle, Ken then drove bus for NNCS, Flack Tours in Ogdensburg, hauled trailers, and drove truck for TJ Fiacco Construction to keep himself busy. He was a member of the Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department where he also served as a Past Chief and sat on the Board of Fire Commissioners, a past member and Chief of the Norfolk Rescue Squad, past member and King Lion of the Norfolk Lions Club, was a charter member of the Potsdam Moose Lodge and a past member of the Norfolk-Norwood Hockey Association. The family would extend a special thank you to Neighbors NY and Community Hospice of Saratoga for the loving care they provided to Kenny.
