About NORWOOD – Arrangements for Kevin A. Patterson, 63, a resident of River Road, Norwood and Ft. Lauderdale, FL, are incomplete at this time with the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood.

Mr. Patterson passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale. A complete obituary will be available when finalized.

Memorial donations in Kevin’s memory can be made to St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood or to a local animal shelter.

Great weekend 21 years ago last April up in Placid. Kevin, myself and Jay hounded for over a year in putting this team together with seven of the thirteen players being former Flying-N's/Flyers. From road hockey on Prospect Street and playing on the old rinks in Norwood as kids, to playing in the old and new Olympic Arena in Lake Placid, the game of hockey always put joy in our hearts and smiles on our half-frozen faces. And what a ritual it was to head over to Dalbec's Sports Shop in Cornwall every October for the various pieces of hockey equipment the three of us needed for the much anticipated winter season. While there, we often visited our cousins, the Garand's. Uncle Chief was a well known long time official in the Quebec Major Junior League where the Royals played for many years. And, oh ya, dad (a native Montrealer) always had to stop and get his quota of Canadian Bacon, Blood Pudding, and Red Roses Tea to bring home. Thanks for the memories mom and dad. Rest in peace Kev and, when you get to those pearly gates, skate right on in (but keep your elbows down).
