About	Age 82, (NNCS Treasurer - 24 years) - Norfolk - Funeral services for 82 year old Laura P. Lavigne at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Laura passed away on Jan. 21, 2016 at her home. Laura is survived by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth, Norfolk; her sons, Tom and Carrie Lavigne, Massena; and John and Sheryl, Colombia, SC; her daughter Donna Dishaw and companion Brad Mott, Massena; grandchildren, Troy, Bryan, Stephanie, Amber, Heather, Sheridan, Joshua, Samuel and Daniel; a great grandchild, Garrett; a sister Ida Claffey, Massena. Laura was pre-deceased by her brothers, Dominic, Frank and Antonia Zappia Jr.; and her sister Katherine Sabad. Born in Ogdensburg Jan. 23, 1933 to Antonio and Ida Hewitt Zappia Sr., Laura graduated from Norfolk High School in 1950. She married Kenneth L Lavigne Nov. 6, 1954. Laura worked at the at the Norfolk High School and Norwood Norfolk Central School as Treasurer for 24 years. Previously worked at First National Bank. Laura was a member of the Church of the Visitation and a past member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Laura's true enjoyment came with spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchild and her many friends.
