Age 28 - The funeral for Paul M. Rivers, 28, was held at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena, with the Rev. Andrew J. Amyot officiating. Burial was made in Visitation Cemetery. Mr. Rivers died Monday at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam. Surviving are his companion, Vicky L. Saarinen; a daughter, Virginia Lee Rivers; his father, Bert T. River; two brothers, Dale B. and Peter M.; five sisters, Mrs. Douglas (Phyllis) Judware, Donna Barrett, Linda Rivers, Judith Laddison and Virginia Knapp, and several uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. Born Oct. 24, 1965, in Massena, a son of Bert T. and Virginia Queor Rivers, he was a 1983 graduate from Norwood-Norfolk Central School. Mr. Rivers was employed as a landscaper in Maryland and as a laborer with Imperial Movers.
