About	Age 62 - Massena - Marvin L. Ward Sr., 62, of 90 East Hatfield Street passed away Thursday evening, Feb. 8, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side. Marvin was born May 6, 1955 in Potsdam, a twin son of Kenneth and Margaret (Martin) Ward. Marvin attended Norwood-Norfolk Central School and served a short time in the US Army. On September 1, 1974, he married Gloria A. Bowen in Colton. Marvin worked for time in the bus garage at St. Lawrence Central School and was also a self-employed woodsman. He enjoyed watching basketball, especially his beloved Syracuse Orangeman and the New York Knicks. He also cherished the time he was able to spend with his children and grandchildren. Marvin is survived by his wife, Gloria; his children, Connie and Bobbie Forbes of West Potsdam; Marvin Ward, Jr. of Massena; Jacqueline and Eric Beecher of Sanborn, New York; and Wendy Ward of Massena; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his twin brother, Melvin and Tracy Ward of Norwood, additional brothers, Arnold Ward of Winthrop and Richard Ward of Massena; his sisters, Doris and Donald Deshane of Brasher; and Eva Sharlow of Potsdam; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his sister, Joyce Ward; his brothers, Leon, Donald, Kenneth, and Leonard "Mickey" Ward. At his request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
