About	Age 81 - Potsdam - Funeral Services for 81 year old Inez M. Roberts, a resident of 4 ½ Cherry Street, Potsdam, will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with lay-speaker Brittany Ashley presiding. Burial will be held in the Riverside Cemetery in the spring. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Mrs. Roberts passed away Friday evening at the Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Inez is survived by a son Kenny, Potsdam; two daughters, Sandie and Vince Ashley, Potsdam and Carolyn Roberts, also of Potsdam; her three grandchildren, Nicole Charleson, Shaun Ashley, Shane Ashley; her six great-grandchildren, Brian Ashley; Remington and Gage Charleson; Madison Ashley; Olivia and Natalie Ashley; a sister Nina and Bill Spencer, Norwood as well as several nieces and nephews. Inez was pre-deceased by two brothers Ralph and Albert Barrigar, a sister Daisy LaGoy and a granddaughter, Stacey Ashley. Born in Norwood on August 26, 1935 to the late Pearl and Grace DeShane Barrigar, Inez was part of the first class to graduate from the newly combined NNCS school. She married Fred W. Roberts on January 8, 1956. He passed away on June 27, 1994. Inez worked at SUNY Potsdam as a Janitor/Cleaner for 40 years, always taking pride in her work. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping and taking an occasional trip to the casino. Inez was a woman of faith, attending church for many years at the United Methodist Church in Norwood. Memorial donations in her memory can be made to the Potsdam Animal Shelter. The Buck Funeral Home in Norwood is serving the family of Inez M. Roberts.
