About	Age 61 - Canastota - Jimmy John Jarrell, age 61, of Canastota, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. Jimmy was born on October 16, 1954 in Potsdam, NY to the late Howard L. and Alice M. (LaCoss) Jarrell. He graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School in 1972. In 1973 Jimmy entered into the United States Air Force and served until his honorable discharge in 1974. He married Karen Lawless on October 18, 1975 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Norwood with Fr. Charles Richard officiating. Jimmy worked as a CNC Machinist for Tactic Fluid Controls Inc. in Liverpool. He enjoyed working on cars; woodworking and he loved raising Huskies. Surviving besides his wife Karen are a son and his wife, Jason and Cindy Jarrell; a daughter, Jamie Jarrell; his parents-in-law, Peter and Mary Anne Lawless; a brother Billy; a sister, Pam; six grandchildren, Julia, Emily, Corey, Brittany, Bethany and Billy; five great grandchildren, Atticus, Charlie, Cali, Kalina and Emily and loved nieces and nephews. Jimmy is pre-deceased by two sisters, Dawn and Melody. Calling hours for Jimmy will be on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. at French Funeral Home, Edwards. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, September 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edwards with Fr. Shane Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Edwards.
