| About | Age 70 - Rochester - Mary Lou Bowman, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. Mary Lou was born in Norwood, NY on December 24, 1943 to Leo and Irene (Tyo) French. She was 70 years old. She was a house wife and caregiver. Mary Lou married the late Joseph R. Bowman of Syracuse, NY in 1968 and had four children; Timothy Bowman (Jude) of Pittsford, NY, Kimberly Bowman of Orange, CA, Christopher and Gina Bowman of Glen Ridge, NJ and Matthew and Arlen Bowman of Charlotte, NC. Mary Lou is survived by four children; three grandsons; Brandon, Alexander and Luke, as well as four granddaughters; Alison, Megan, Lauren and Alexandra. In addition, she is survived by three brothers; Phil French of East Syracuse, NY, Richard French of East Syracuse, NY and Gary French of Fayetteville, NY, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews. Mom will be best known for her love of people, her children and grandchildren. She is now embarking on a journey to experience the greatest love that can ever be expressed -- the love of God. To quote Seneca - "The day which we fear as our last is but the birthday of the eternity." A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 9 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, East Syracuse. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours will be Friday, April 11, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home, 241 Kinne St., East Syracuse. |
