About Age 56 - Louisville - Morris W. "Mo" Murray 56, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday (April 9, 2013) at Massena Memorial Hospital, . Funeral arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. Mo was born in Potsdam January 3, 1957, the son of Vernon & Dorothy (Caskinett) Murray. He was a 1975 graduate of Norwood-Norfolk High School. After graduation Mo moved to Vermont where he was employed for a time with the Vermont Tap and Die Company, after a few years he found himself back home in the North Country. Upon his return Mo worked at many restaurants in the area as a cook Violi's Restaurant, Lobster House and the Valhaven for Adult Home just to name of few. He later was employed as a custodian for the Highland Nursing Home. For the past nine years he was a skilled automotive technician at Fay's Motors, Massena. During this time he met the love of his life, and on September 25, 1993 he united into marriage with Sherill LaShomb at the Stockholm United Methodist Church. Mo will be forever treasured in the hearts of his wife Sherill; son George Murray of Vermont; daughter Emily (Randy) Stevens of Vermont; son Brayden Murray and a daughter Bryaunna Murray both still at home in Massena. Also surviving him are his grandchildren Cameron and Noah Murray, Aaron and Jodi Stevens and Brayden Cardinell; his brother George Murray; sisters Carolyn Jones, Carol Droppo. Mo is pre-deceased by his parents; his brothers Tony, Vern and Harold Murray and his sisters Mary McGregor, Patricia Pryce. Mo's enthusiasm and love for basketball will always be remembered by those who saw him at a local game. Quick with his eye, he would inform the officials at the game of illegal pass that they missed. "Travel" or "Oh my God I can't believe you didn't see that" he would yell. However Mo very seldom missed a game, especially to support be his star player Bryuanna, for he was her biggest fan. Now if you met Mo on the street, you could count on a "Hi Brother" or "Hi Sister", for his faith ran deep and Jesus was in his heart, and his family friends were focus of his life. However grateful, in lieu of floral offerings please consider donation's in Mo's honor to the Knapp Station Community Church, P.O Box 54, Norwood, NY 13668. Friends may call at the Knapp Station Community Church, Saturday (April 13, 2013) from 2-4 and 6-8. Mo's Funeral service celebrating his life will commence at 8pm.
