About	Age 54 - James H. Brouse, age 54, of Johnstown, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011 after being stricken at home. He was born on May 18,1957 in Potsdam, a son of the late William J. Brouse and Mary Hall Brouse. He was a graduate of Norwood Norfolk Central School in 1975 and obtained his bachelors degree from SUNY Utica. Mr. Brouse served his Country in the U.S. Army Reserves. For a number of years he was employed at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX and since 1986 was employed at the Fulton County Central Assessment Office. James was the family historian and an avid photographer. Survivors include one brother William J. Brouse (Linda) of Martinez, GA; three sisters Martha Devernoe (Alan) 0f Bradenton, FL, JoAnn DeShane (Jerry) of Franklinton, NC and Judy Brouse and husband Joseph DeMarco of Amsterdam; a special nephew Neil Baxter of Fonda and his Aunt Elizabeth Hinkle of Johnstown; nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 7:00 PM from the A.G. Cole Funeral Home 215 East Main Street, Johnstown. The Dr. Rev. R. W. Williams will officiate. Family and friends may call on Friday prior to the service from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow services at Vale Crematory, Schenectady, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Liberty Enterprises, Lexington Foundation, American Heart Association or charity of choice.
