About | Age 73 - Burlington, VT - Funeral Services for 73 year old Charles L. "Chuck" McGinnis, 205 Austin Ridge Road, Norwood, will be held Wednesday at 10 am at St. Andrew's Church in Norwood with Rev. Msgr. Harry Snow presiding and Rev. Robert Aucoin con-celebrating. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mr. McGinnis passed away Saturday evening at the Fletcher-Allen Medical Center in Burlington, VT. Chuck is survived by his wife, Patricia "Patty", Norwood; one son, Michael and Julie McGinnis, Malone; his two daughters, Donna McGinnis, Norwood and Colleen and Brian Stone, Colton; his two grandchildren, Connor and Samantha McGinnis; two brothers, John Patrick and Deanna McGinnis and James McGinnis, both of Norwood and his three sisters, Evelyn Peckham, Carthage; Marjorie Roberts, Oklahoma; and Sister Beth McGinnis, Allegany. Chuck has several nieces and nephews and was pre-deceased by a sister Helen Marie in infancy. Born in Potsdam on May 25, 1938 to the late John Leo and Helen McCarthy McGinnis, he graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School and served in the U.S. Army from 1961 thru 1963. He married Patricia "Patty" Sullivan on September 3, 1966. He worked as a Crane Operator for ALCOA in Massena for 34 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of St. Andrew's Church, the Norwood American Legion, the Norwood Lake Assoc. and the ALCOA 25 year Club. Memorial Donations can be made to the Norwood Lake Assoc.
