About	Age 21 - Norwood - Johnathan R. Burkett, age 21 of Norwood, New York passed away on June 25, 2010 in the Town of Stockholm as the result of an automobile accident. Calling hours will be held on Monday at the Garner Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the New Hope Community Church in Potsdam with Rev. John Alt celebrant. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Potsdam, NY. Contributions in his memory can be made to the Potsdam Elks Lodge Major Projects @ P.O. Box 415 Potsdam, NY 13676 in c/o the secretary. Johnathan was born February 8, 1989 in Potsdam to Harry M. Burkett and Elizabeth A. Gardner. He was a 2007 graduate of Norwood-Norfolk High School. Johnathan enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling and working on the family farm. Johnathan worked construction for several local firms in the area. He is survived by his parents Harry and Beth, a brother Christopher of Norwood; maternal grandparents Hazel Honer Gardner and Ernest A. Gardner of Raymondville; a paternal grandfather James Burkett of Potsdam and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is pre-deceased by his paternal grandmother Sharon Basford.
