About	Age 50 - Star Lake - Tami Marie Lashua, age 50, of Star Lake, passed away on May 9, 2010 at Adirondack Medical Center, Saranac Lake. Visiting hours will be on Friday at the family's home at 4345 St. Hwy 3, Star Lake from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Adirondack Presbyterian Church in Star Lake with Rev. Pieter Visscher and Rev. Theodore Tate officiating. Burial will follow in the Oswegatchie Cemetery. There will be a luncheon served at the church after the burial. Tami was born on September 8, 1959 in Potsdam. She was a daughter of the late Joseph Alec and Jean Frances (Ashley) Vari. She graduated from Norwood-Norfolk High School. She married Daniel R. Lashua on September 19, 1987 at the Norwood Methodist Church. The couple have lived in Star Lake ever since. Mrs. Lashua loved her family and children. She enjoyed playing Bingo, watching American Idol, cooking and canning, and collecting pig memorabilia. She has always enjoyed taking care of her family and became a family care provider through Sunmount D.D.S.O. Her survivors include her husband, Daniel; her daughter, Tiffany A. Lashua; her son, Justin R. Lashua; two sisters, Peggy Cooley of Potsdam, Paula Morgan of Norfolk; three brothers, John Vari of Norwood, Vincent Vari of Massena, Joseph Vari of Bremerhaven, Germany; a brother-in-law, Dale Lashua of Watertown; her parents-in-law, Ronald and Betty Lashua of Star Lake, and many nieces and nephews. Donations in Tami's memory may be made to the Star Lake Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. Funeral arrangements are being handled by French Family Funeral Home, Star Lake.
