About	Age 56 - Roger A. Reif, 56, died Friday at Fletcher-Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt. Mr. Reif, a self-employed mechanic, had operated an Atlantic gas station in Norfolk that later became an Arco station. He later operated a Sunoco station in Norfolk until 1980, when he became a truck driver. He drove for Cappione's, Massena, and Relco, Lockport, until his retirement in 1998. Born May 5, 1945, in Auburn, son of Robert and Ferne Alt Reif, he moved with his family to Norfolk in 1956 and graduated from Norwood- Norfolk Central School, Norwood, in 1963. He then worked at Norfolk Paper Mill for a few years. He married Linda Searles on July 20, 1966, at Norfolk Methodist Church. The marriage ended in divorce in 1985. He married Donna Smith on June 15, 1996, at his Hannawa Falls home with town of Pierrepont Justice Robert Camp officiating. Mr. Reif was a former member of the Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed motorcycles and stock cars. He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing. Surviving besides his wife are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Chris and Patricia, Timothy and Christine and Brad; two sisters, Cheryl Fullerton and Roberta Hurley; two brothers, Gary and Daryl; a stepson, Robert Selleck; five step-daughters and three stepsons-in-law, Wendy and Steve Stowe, Randi and Edward Chamberlain, Robin Selleck, Penny and Phillip Poste, and Jacqueline Selleck; four grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Garner Funeral Home, Potsdam, with the Rev. Richard Lenz officiating.
