About	Age 30 - Massena - The funeral for David L. LaBaff, 30, was held at the Church of the Visitation, with the Rev. George Maroun, pastor, officiating. Spring burial was made in Visitation Cemetery. Mr. LaBaff died Saturday afternoon at Massena Memorial Hospital. He was on a rescue call as an emergency medical technician when he was stricken. Surviving are his father, Leo; a brother, Robert; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Aldridge and Mrs. Charles (Leona) Roach, and several nephews and nieces. His mother, Albertine, died in 1977. Born in Potsdam on April 21, 1959, a son of Leo and Albertine Blanchard LaBaff, he was a 1979 graduate of Norwood-Norfolk Central School. He married Shelly Ann LaVare on Nov. 29, 1981, at Holy Cross Church, Hopkinton. The marriage ended in divorce. Mr. LaBaff, a Navy veteran, was employed with Seaway Valley Invalid Services as an emergency medical technician.
