About	Age 32 - Norfolk - Phillip J. McComber - A funeral for Phillip J. McComber, 31, of Norfolk, was held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 8, 1987 at Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk with the Rev.John Kennehan, pastor of the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk, officiating. Burial was in Raymondville Cemetery. Phillip died Friday, June 5, 1987 as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Surviving are his parents, Earland and Sally McComber of Norfolk; a daughter, Jennie of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Marsha) Whalen of Independence, LA, Mrs. Joseph (Carolyn) Wolfe of Norfolk; one niece. he was born in Massena on Dec.29, 1955, son of Earl and Sally Debien McComber. Phillip was a member of the Norfolk American Legion and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
