Age 17 - Would have started his senior year in September. - Louisville - Larry Barney, 17, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 1979 the results of a car accident in the town of Louisville. Funeral services for Larry J. Barney, were held at St. Raymond's Church, Raymondville, with burial in Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Larry is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Barney, two brothers, Kevin and Stephen; five sisters, Mrs. Richard (Maureen) Hilliger; Mrs. Michael (Karen) LeBeau; Michelle, Laurie, and Susan Barney; his maternal grandmother, Betha Lent; and his paternal grandmother, Agnes Barney. Larry was born Dec. 3, 1961, at Utica, the son of John R. and Frances (Lent) Barney. He would have been a senior at Norwood-Norfolk Central School. Larry was the manager of the varsity basketball team and was studying agricultural mechanics at BOCES. Larry was employed by Floyd Guyette, Helena.
